The weather looks to be glorious the over the next week which makes it a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the cooler temperatures while they last. If your days are anything like mine they are incredibly busy making me forget to slow down and plan a low-key, easy adventure for me and the kids. Calling upon that sage, age old wisdom we have all heard many times; let’s take a moment and stop and smell the flowers, literally!

The amazing Duke Gardens in Durham is a family favorite. Don’t forget about the cool family backpack they have to enhance your exploration.
In Chapel Hill the NC Botanical Garden is always a fun way to spend a morning. My kids love the big chess pieces!
Brookhaven Nature Park in Raleigh has a lot of trails to explore.
Everything should be in bloom at the Wilkerson Nature Preserve in Raleigh.
In Pittsboro the White Pines Nature Preserve offers many adventure opportunities.
Located in the middle of Cary, the Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve is sure to not disappoint.
The Occoneechee Mountain in Hillsborough is beautiful this time of year.
So get out there and commune with nature, I’ve heard it is really good for you!
